Taking place on August Bank Holiday Monday, the the fourth hugely popular Props and Pistons event at the Lincolnshire Aviation Heritage Centre was quite badly distrupted by some awful British summer weather conditions.
The morning of the event dawned bright and dry, but by lunchtime the remains of an Atlantic hurricane had made its presence known, resulting in poor weather conditions for the remainder of the afternoon. These unsuitable conditions sadly resulted in the visiting aviation element of the day being cancelled, with exciting aircraft such as a YAK-3, B-25, P-51 pair and the Wildcats Aerobatic Team simply unable to get away from their home airfields to attend.
Nevertheless, the charity event still attracted a respectable number of visitors and around 170 exotic cars from vehicle manufacturers such as Aston Martin, Audi, Bentley, BMW, Ferrari, Ford, Jaguar, Lamborghini, Land Rover, Lotus, Maserati, Mercedes, MG and Porsche.
Please take a look through the two albums below for a flavour of the event and pictures of the visiting vehicles.
