Held on one of the very few Sundays when the museum opens to the public, the 2014 Rover & MG Car Rally attracted around 400 vehicles to East Kirkby.

Parked around the museum site were examples of most models and variants produced by Rover over the preceding decades. Also on display were a healthy number of MG cars, parked alongside Avro Lancaster Just JaneNaturally Just Jane featured in the event and with Andrew Panton at the controls she performed taxy runs with Keith Brenchley and Sean Taylor assisting.

Towards the end of the day, Spitfire Mk.IIa P7350 from the neighbouring Battle of Britain Memorial Flight at RAF Coningsby, performed three passes over the museum site - much to the satisfaction of the event's numerous visitors. A selection of images from the event can be found in the gallery below.

The next major event at the Lincolnshire Aviation Heritage Centre is on 2 August.
