What a way to celebrate an anniversary!

For the first time in around ten years, Lancaster PA474 from the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight overflew NX611 during a taxy run - an incredible sight and sound and a very suitable highlight to NX611's 65th anniversary celebrations.

Also appearing to help mark the day were BBMF Hurricane Mk.IIc PZ865 and the Hardwick Warbirds P-51 Mustang pair, flown with gusto by Maurice Hammond and Dave Evans. Spitfire Mk.XVI TD248 (G-OXVI) was also displayed with style by Air Marshall Cliff Spink.

Additional welcome visitors during the day included Wickenby based Airco DH.2 replica '5964' (G-BFVH) and support Chipmunk T.10 WD390 (G-BWNK).
